Name the Mohs hardness scale

The Mohs hardness scale is composed of 10 minerals that have been given arbitrary hardness values. The hardness of a mineral is determined by observing the scratch various minerals through the ability of a harder material to scratch a softer material.

Devised by the German mineralogist Friedrich Mohs. The Mohs hardness scale gives numerical values by comparing which minerals can visibly scratch others. The Mohs hardness test is a stable of beginning geology, can you name the minerals along the scale? Here’s a helpful mnemonic device to help you remember: “The girls can flirt and other queer things can do”.
